The Inner Spark

Opals - fragile yet so pretty! Solid ones are hard to come by (and expensive), thus the popularity of doublets and triplets such as the last one, where slices of opal are glued to a black backing to create the illusion of a black opal. Much care should be given to opals as they are very porous and can dry up!

I know, how can a blog be "inquisitive"? He spammed me too.

I love opals!
In fact, the so-called black one is my favourite.

I went to a store once which had manufactured opals from Korea, just as pretty as real ones, made up of leftovers which were pulverized and reformed.
