An odd contradiction on my part, that despite my love of the colours I showed you on my blog, I prefer the pink jewellery...
Speaking of which, I have a necklace like the last ring in the pink series.
.
My mother has a pale yellow topaz, so pale I would rather call it yellow blush. It is cut like green ring number 5 and literally makes me thirsty when I look at it. Better yet is the way she acquired it: about 40 years ago, a friend of hers was going on a business trip to Switzerland and he asked her what she wanted, and she said, "My birthstone ring." !!! What a nerve. I could never ask anyone for jewellery!

We're on the same wave because I posted yellow stones right after you commented. :) Emerald is my birth stone but I also love green.

That ring of your mother's sounds lovely! Well, if you don't ever ask for it, you'd never get it, so why not? :D Does her topaz ring come in any of the shades of yellow I posted? I've been on a colored quartz kick lately; pale yellow stones look like candy and are truly sweet to look at!
